    Information

    As a clearing house for sector information in Quebec, the ASSTSAS handles, collects, distributes and disseminates occupational health and safety information to its clients in numerous ways :
  • Objectif prévention, published 5 times a year, is an occupational health and safety reference tool ;
  • Informative web site (www.asstsas.qc.ca) ;
  • Publication of handbooks, brochures, posters, videos ;
  • Annual meetings.

    Training

    As the focal point in a changing strategy, training is at the very heart of the ASSTSAS’s activities. More than 30 different training courses are available, developed to meet specific client needs :
  • Training programs for instructors, including the very popular Moving Patients Safety Principles (MPSP) program ;
  • Training for workers and those involved in prevention ;
  • Training on the prevention of aggressive behaviour.

    Research

    This program focuses on the development of technologies to eliminate occupational health and safety hazards at their source, while fostering efficiency and ongoing productivity :
  • The development of equipment in partnership : tractor designed to pull carts, hood cleaning platform, etc. ;
  • Research on occupational health and safety issues.
